Doug Murdoch

OWNER AND DIRECTOR

The owner-operator behind Poles and Holes, Doug, started his career as a biologist. Since then, Doug has spent 24 years in the hospitality industry and gift shop concessions at regional Qld airports.

Back in 2002, Doug and his wife Deb bought Poles and Holes, becoming the third owners of this successful small business since its beginnings in 1960. With Doug and Deb's work, Poles and Holes has grown to be the largest supplier of temporary power poles in Queensland (if not Australia!).

Aside from the business, Doug and Deb have been married for 40 years and have 2 grown-up children. In his free time, Doug's interests include tennis, golf, fishing, surfing and ultimate frisbee (which he claims he is not very good at any, but he loves the competition).
